This gorgeous Johnson Brothers platter features a Flow Floral Design. The traditional multi-colored spray or vine patterns (pink, green, yellow, and blue flowers) used a sharp brown outline or border technique to pop against the white semi-porcelain glaze.
This geometric mold choice was expensive to produce and fell out of fashion around 1905 as Art Deco minimalism began to creep into market preferences. Combined with your brown stamp, "England" text, and hand-painted multi-colored flowers, this platter is a classic snapshot of premium 1900–1905 English semi-porcelain craftsmanship.
The platter has beautiful crazing throughout and a flake missing off the back side - please see photos. It is nearly imperceptible from the front
The platter measures 14 inches long and 10 inches across.
